MetalHeadCoder (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the Leben in Deutschland app (the “Service”) as a Free app. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page informs visitors of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone using our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

The Service does not require an account and works fully offline.

• Study Progress & App Data: Your quiz progress, correct streaks, and personal notes are stored locally on your device only. We do not operate any account system, and this data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• No Personal Information Collected: We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information through the app.

2. Log Data and Analytics

The Service uses Google Firebase to help us fix bugs and understand how the app is used. This is limited to two things:

• Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics): In the event of an app crash, we automatically collect technical diagnostic data — your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, and the time and date of the crash. This data is pseudonymized and used strictly to identify bugs and monitor app stability. Crash reporting is always on and cannot be disabled, as it is essential to keeping the app reliable.
• Product Analytics (Firebase Analytics): We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — such as which screens are opened and which features are used — to understand how the app is used and decide what to improve. This data is not tied to your identity. You can turn this off at any time from the app’s Settings screen, next to the analytics toggle.

Neither of these mechanisms collects your study answers, notes, or any personally identifying information.

3. Your Data, Your Device

Because all app data is stored locally, deleting it is entirely in your control — there is no account or server-side record to request deletion of:

• To clear your progress while keeping the app installed: Android Settings → Apps → Leben in Deutschland → Storage → Clear storage/data.
• To remove everything: simply uninstall the app.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following trusted third parties to operate crash reporting and analytics. They only receive the data described in Section 2, and are contractually bound not to use it for any other purpose:

• Google Play Services
• Google Analytics for Firebase & Crashlytics

5. Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
